Special Marutta Yagna
January 22nd to January 28th, 2010
Global warming is a big threat to persons living on the subcontinent. The glaciers in the Himalayas are disappearing. Once these are gone, hundreds of millions of people will find the Ganges, Yamuna, and other rivers they depend on drying up. This is just one problem. Another problem is that millions of people in low lying areas will find their homes submerged by rising ocean levels. This is already happening.
The Vedas provide solutions to every problem. Global warming is caused by abuse of the elements by man, driven by desire and greed. To calm down the elements, various yagnas and procedures are prescribed by the Vedas and formulated by the Saints.
Sai Baba has sent a message to Saint Panduranga Rao Malyala to conduct a Marutta Yagna. This invokes Vayu to cool down the Earth. This special yagna will be performed as part of the 2010 PEACE YAGNAS. There will be 49 Rig Veda pundits for seven days, January 22-28, 2010. They will be assisted by 108 staff and student pundits at schools sponsored by Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of Austin and Pittsburgh.
