NAKSHTRAS(STARS): There are 27 stars in space, and they emit beacons of light particles. These micro-atoms and radiation significantly impact the welfare of the beings on Earth. A summary of stars and their characteristics with the benefit that each star can confer are shown below. The temple is performing the Nakshatra (STAR) Yagnas, Homa will be performed for each star on the day it falls. The devotees can consult our temple staff for their star. BENEFITS AND POWER OF NAKSHATRA YAGNAS: Thousands of years ago, Vedic Indian culture evolved a lunar calendar/almanac in which the moon and the stars consistently found in its path were charted. These moon-path star clusters (star mansions or Asterisms) were called Nakshatra and given proper names. The base lunar calendar evolved into the Vedic star almanac, the Chandramana. The moon Chandra visits these mansions in its monthly trajectory around the earth.
There are twenty-seven Nakshatra, corresponding to each day of a sidereal lunar month. Rishi Gargya documented the names of nakshatras in the Atharvana Veda. Nakshatra means stable or non-moving in Heaven. These names are in use even today, and many Indians are as familiar with their star names as Westerners might be with their astrological sun sign.
